Hi, I am on the verge of buying an omega speed master from someone off of craigslist. First time buyer and new to the watch world. Would appreciate a legit check!Please let me know your thoughts.

 

what do you know about it? was it serviced recently? what's the reference? what's the movement/serial number?

buy the seller, not the watch.

Had a beating though so the price should reflect that.

I have no idea. I'm in Australia, I assume you're in the US, so prices can be very different.

Do a search on eBay for Omega Speedmaster in Completed Listings (only sold items), that should give you an idea.

Shoot for between $2500-$3000 at the most. Aim for the lower end of that range, and that's assuming that the full set of warranty cards and boxes are present.

 

Superluminova in that condition, yeah lower end.
