So, with 50th year anniversary of Moon Landing coming up next year, likely chance is that Omega will release another limited edition of the Speedmaster.

But what got me thinking, what about #SpeedyTuesday "project". So far, ST1 and ST2 have been a marketing and sales success, so another ST on the way next year? and if so, for how long?

Will collectors end up wary of Omega's marketing stunts?

Celebrating the n'th anniversary of a space mission is hardly a marketing gimmick. It's very serious, and Omega would never use their position as the NASA approved watch for space Flight merely to make profits.

    ....would they?

I’d like to see an 8000 series Moonwatch with no date, and which is otherwise visually identical to the manual existing one. Progress that respects the past.

Likely chance is that Omega will launch limited editions regardless of anniversaries. So yeah... they better come up with something good, if they want my money.

I'm 'fakkin well' counting on it chaps! :D Some owners ::shy::..... of 105.012 Speedmasters may be hoping that the 'knock on' effect of all the 2019 'hoo hah' may trigger an Interest and rise in value of the real 'Moonwatch'.

I'm thinking command module watch box layered similar to ultraman. Hopefully coming on bracelet with a nasa strap included. I hope they make a real fuss of the caseback with similar quality to snoopy. Lunar module lazered into dial. Hopefully there are no eagles. It's not the greatest mission patch just the greatest mission.

that's a great idea. in fact, wouldn't it be nice if the dial is made from the metal scrap of the command module? or a rocket?

All I want is that Aqua Terra Worldtimer in stainless steel. No real interest in anything else from Omega right now.

Linen dial made from the lease agreement between NASA and the Hollywood film studio for the warehouse where the 'moon landing' was filmed... Straps made from the canvas of the director's chair... Crystals made from the studio lighting lenses...
