Crap. To be completely honest, I was hoping I wouldn't like this piece, but your pictures are some of the better "real world" I've seen, and unfortunately, the preponderance of the evidence is stacking up that this is a pretty cool little Speedy.

 

Wow, yeah, each picture of it I see makes it look better than the last, and your shot here looks great. I'm glad I've got my deposit down, looking forward to seeing it soon.

 

I was at the boutique couple days back. They told me price is $6500. Plus tax. So total at $7,000.

I could get on the list to buy, but it sounded like my agent would have to build a case so that I can have the option to purchase. The boutique manger did not outright says this, but I felt it was implied in that my rep would want to know how many Omegas I already owned, spending pattern at boutique, etc.

I am certainly on the fence on this one. I really do love the look.

 

Don't hesitate you will miss out and regret it.

As good as the pictures are, they don't do the CK2998 justice. Trust me, when I say that the CK2998 looks even BETTER in real life.
To my surprise the blue was even darker/richer than I had originally thought. Very deep inky blue!!! Its very nicely done.

(taddyangle) - As for the process to get one - you are correct that is the "process" for LE. Omega is attempting to avoid the Silver Snoopy fiasco. Whether this is better process or more fair process remains to be seen and time will tell if this will be the normal process going forward.

If you don't get the CK...you can always try some of their other Basel offerings. During my viewing, I had opportunity to try on all most of their new 2016 timepieces - it was the coolest drawer i'd seen A few were missing but most were there!!!
