    Hi all,

Thinking of acquiring a Romain Jerome spacecraft watch. Any real life experience of it from members would be very welcome.

In the same spirit the SevenFriday em301
also caught my attention though is much cheaper.

    Any thoughts appreciated!

So in order to see the hour, I need to position my wrist parallel to my eyes, then to see the minute, I need to rotate my wrist 90 deg. If you have a lot of money to burn, it's okay I guess, but for regular joe like me, I will pass..

That having to use 2 different angle to see hours and minutes, is totally F'n useless, In my opinion. I wouldn't buy that at any price. But what the hell, its your money, spend it on what you enjoy.

I think the comments above are a bit harsh and rude given that you asked for real-life experience, not a yay/nay opinion.
Cool looking watch, that RJ, imho.
I would personally worry most about all that scratchable real estate there...

The whole point of the watch is the retrograde function and new design.

Do you actually use your watch to read the time anyway?

I don't like it but I respect the quirkyness

I think the Spacecraft watch is a silly design. Legibility is paramount IMHO and it seems they've gone out of their way to create a funky design at the cost of legibility. It's a piece of jewelry that sort of tells time. Similarly, with the Seven Friday, all that space on the watch face is wasted. 20% time display, 80% useless. And it's not even that good looking. Pass on both. At any price.

You first need owners to then get wristshots,
OF might not be the right place:confused:

Does anyone else find it odd that a watch branded SevenFriday has neither a day or date on it??

So I'm not a fan of the Spacecraft - definitely a polarizing look. But I don't dislike the Subcraft (Alain Silberstein design for RJ - same internals, but smoothed over) nearly as much:

Still looks like a pager strapped to your wrist though.

Maybe you have to hold it at an another angle for those features...

I prefer this for a jump hour watch.
