Just a heads-up, the 2016 Space Rendezvous event at Cape Kennedy is being held on Nov 10-12, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Gemini 12. I am attending. If any other forum members are planning to attend, hit me up on PM. This is an autograph event, and I will have several of my Omega watch boxes with me to be signed!!
I just looked up the pricing for signing. Buzz doesn't seem to be listed even though he is listed as a participant. Do you have your checkbook ready? Cheers Thomas
Just for reference at his last paid signing his signature alone was $600. That did not include a mission or date. Add $50 for the mission and $50 for the date. If you wanted something signed that already had Armstrong and Collins on it bring a cool $1500 for his autograph.
What?? That's a lot of money. I somewhere read that Armstrong refuses to sign anything because he had enough of people making money with his signature. I can understand that if it's not for a good cause. Regards from Germany Thomas
Yes, it is a lot of money but it was probably his last paid signing event. He announced he would no longer attend autograph shows so in hindsight it was probably a pretty good deal if you needed something other than his books signed.
Yes, I will have my checkbook handy (we need that emoji with the guy throwing cash up in the air). Hard to blame Buzz for not wanting to sign people's crap anymore, I get that.
I purchased a "Gala" ticket, which includes: Thursday Early Evening Welcome Reception KSCVC Day Pass Autograph Show Admission Saturday Reception & Gala
The ASF events are very nice. Enjoy the show and I hope you are able to get what you want signed done.
Dave Scott was at the show. He signed during Saturday. The autograph session on Saturday was not well attended, but there were things to be had. The gala was fun. I showed Charlie Duke and Al Worden how to tie a bow tie. The photo was worth the price of admission.
