I was watching the series on Netflix (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9612516/) this weekend and noticed that the main character played by Steve Carell was rocking a Speedmaster.

Quite proper that the commander of the space branch of military would use the Moonwatch.

I think it is Carrell’s personal watch and he chose to wear it for his character - there are pictures of him wearing a Speedmaster that date back to 2010 or so.

Hmm. I think its a prop watch, supposed to look like a Speedmaster Pro. If I remember correctly Robert Downey Jr also had one.

It's a fake Speedmaster, and almost definitely a prop watch.
