I’ve only messed around with instruments that require a bow to play. On the violin without gravity to kinda rest the bow on the strings I bet it’s quite difficult. I realize more amazing tasks have been completed in space but it’s still pretty cool.

By far my favorite of the "genre". 😀

So many!

Man Beck is amazing. He does shreds that Morello, Hendrix and other top players would added theatrics to (I don’t mean that in a bad way) just a style of play. He does things on that guitar that are so complex but with the effort it takes for mortals to play a perfect chord.

I was lucky yo see him live here in Vancouver about 25 years ago. Mind blowing. I’ve loved his work going back to the Yardbirds. His expertise and expression is sorely missed.

RIP Jeff Beck.

The LP version of Space Boogie (on 1979’s There and Back) is off the charts. Simon Phillips’ drumming - with all due respect to Vinnie - is jaw dropping.

Side note: It was Geddy Lee’s tech, on tour with Jeff Beck shortly before his death, who suggested Anika Nilles for Rush. Beck always chose the best for his band.
