Since this one was just overhauled. I wanted to check when the date change over actually tripped. Here are the results within spec I sat in front of the watch with cell phone in hand and waited for the date to trip. These are some of the dumb things I can do wasting time. Interesting to view at least now I know when the date change takes place. My wife walked in the room asked what I was doing. I told her she just shook her head.

You could just pull the crown out to the time setting position and move the hands forward...

Were you expecting it to change at precisely 12:00? You may find the calendar changes at different times, throughout the month. Perhaps only by a few seconds on any given day. It is a mechanical watch, after all!

No I just happened to be sitting at the pc I looked at the time and noticed the date change started to take place around 11:45 so I figured what the heck cell phone near by so you see the results. I do have a couple watches that the date change takes place a few seconds after midnight
