Came across this one on eBay the other day and posted it in the recommended watches thread as I was convinced it was a good 'un. The post got removed because I assume there must be something wrong with it?

Only thing that strikes me as a cause for concern is the difference in colour between the "Seamaster" script and the "Omega" and "Automatic" in some of the sellers photos but the fonts themselves look fine. Please enlighten me as to what's wrong with it before I place a bid

 

Sold for £540 (about $850). Seems a good price if the watch is original. Thoughts?

 

I find it hard to believe the dial is original. Look at the disparity in printing between the "Seamaster" and the rest of the dial. I think the dial was retouched.

Just some lighting/shadowing. Second pic from last shows the metallic printing just fine. Price quite high even for a black dial, higher than a black pie-pan constellation 168.010 I won for a friend a few months back (which could be a rare exception though).

 

Newbiggen is dodgy or should I say doggy, as he's sold quite a few of those over time.

Dial matches his selling practices.

Gilt shows through black dial a bit, makes for a cool dial, especially in natural light!
