Hello, just found this and It just seems like something is off (besides dial). Seems to be a 14k gold case, but Ive mostly seen 18k for these kind of cases. I didn’t see a “gold filled” anywhere so I am under the impression it’s a solid gold case. Movement looks a lot like a 511 (from my google searches). I wouldn’t buy something like this, but I was just wondering what (if anything) is wrong with it. Just for practice...and also because I want to know whether my initial suspicions were justified. If it helps, going price is $650

Typical mid 1950s US market Jonell cased Omega, looks fine to me.

Do you think it’s plated or solid gold?

Its solid 14k gold, and a caliber 420.

Isn’t the dial wrong too? Maybe now I’ll consider it. Do you think 650 is a fair price?

I'm not too sure about the dial since I'm not familiar with the US-cased Omegas, but I'd probably aim for 300-400$ due to a low gold content (thin case) and a manual movement.

Can't comment on the dial from the provided photo, not large enough or clear enough.

Even it it is original price seems high by at least $150 or so. This is a relatively small watch maybe 32-33-mm.

Jonell cases are generally fairly substantial not like a off brand case from South America or the like.
