Yup a 19 j chonometre 501 is very cool.....
Why? Isn't the 505 supposed to be an improvement on the 501 design?

Yes. But the 501 in chronometer form is a lot less common.

You weren't, but at least one other member was insisting it was a redial despite my showing two other examples with the same fonts.

Somedays it doesn't pay to get out of bed.

I think you and @ulackfocus are overreacting quite a bit. It may be a language issue, but the way I read @ANALOGUE's post, he's not insisting it is a redial, he merely states what initially made him believe it was, pointing out the differences from what is commonly seen as the "correct" Constellation text, etc.

When I read the thread first, I wondered why your reply showing the two Constellations had a slightly stiff tone to it, guess you thought he was challenging you...

Yeah, my 2582 is also a 501 and that is where I first heard it. But on Desmond's blog he plays up the 505 to be a superior movement. Thanks for the clarification.

Not sure if it is an age thing, but this is the more classic text from my 14.883.XXX serial Connie, which is later than OP watch, which is 14.651.xxx. Could also be because mine is textured. (Excuse the scuffed up crystal.)

Here’s my example with the same unusual font, in a 2852 rose gold recipe extra crispy.

Frankly, I couldn't understand what he way saying at first.

And yes, it's sometimes difficult to follow posts when people are making an attempt making themselves understood in a second or third language. It's the main reason I don't post in Spanish or French language forums although I can understand those languages in conversation. (most of the time).

Sorry if I'm coming off as a grumpy old man.

I'm going to backtrack and say it probably has more to do with dial variant than age, given that so many of them have the same exact markers.

Sorry my enlish skills are not good enough. And sorry if I offended you or @ulackfocus

I thought I was very clear with that I thought it was a redial due to those things but that I now understand it is not as you and other more experienced member sais so.
