Few of these 16mm buckles have come up for sale..

Could anyone shed some light on which period these were in use and for which models?

I'm thinking of fitting them on my Polerouters / Uni-compaxes or just for spares..

I see quite often, 14mm and even 12mm buckles that I am guessing were more prevalent back in the day with the smaller watches.30-33mm.
