Looking for something else, I stumbled across a box of political buttons I put aside back in the early 70’s.

It feels like things are much worse now, all around the world, than back then, which is hard for me to come to terms with.

Anyway, I hope you are as amused as I was to see some of these. (Obviously, John Glenn is not political, but I couldn’t resist including it.)

 

Great collection...brings back memories of those days. Voted in '72 for the first time.

Our elementary school was closed so we could all stay home and watch his launch, orbit and recovery on live TV.

I wore the hell out of them during the Watergate hearings.
