Took some photos of my recently purchased Seamaster Diver 300M. Taken with my iPhone with some small tweaks.. My old trusty Swatch which the Seamaster replaced. It now lives in luxury in the Omega box lol Going to get some better quality photos with better lighting soon
All those pics and not a single wrist shot!! Looks great seems super versatile, for some reason this watch has flown under my radar... Love the black dial, I'm not a fan of the blue with the waves lines that I see so much.
Thanks Just exposure and contrast adjustments. This forum seems to have made them bigger than they should be so the quality has dropped off a bit. I like that strap! Been looking at the grey and black NATO strap like the Bond Spectre one. Think i will get one soon and try it out Haha, here you go.. I agree, i went to the boutique wanting a blue one, but i preferred the black when i saw them side by side..
Shipboard environment is murder on the pretty bracelet. I'm a JAG lawyer attached to a carrier. While on shore duty the bracelet comes back on and looks dressier for a real court room.
I see, makes sense. Do you change the strap/bracelet yourself? I'd like to be able to do it myself so i dont have to drive 20 miles to the nearest boutique each time i want it changed..
I do. Unlike the older model Seamasters you can fairly easily remove the spring bars yourself with a tool like this or similar. Practice on another watch before you try it on your Seamaster to help prevent scratches/accidents. If you aren't comfortable risking some small scratches, take it to your dealer. I use a tool like this. http://www.amazon.com/Foxnovo-Profe...1459969681&sr=8-18&keywords=watch+pin+remover
Thanks for the link. I will get myself one of those tools and practice on an old watch and see how it goes
Example on a Submariner (very similar concept): https://www.watchobsession.co.uk/blogs/watchobsession-blog/9850172-bracelet-strap-changing-guide Additional advice, including reference to a different style tool that might even be easier: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f20/trouble-removing-smpc-bracelet-spring-bar-1008371.html
Thanks again for the info, will definitely try this. I do remember when i was a kid changing a strap on a watch using the very small screwdrivers you can get. Probably destroyed the watch in the process.. I wont be doing that with my Seamaster though The proper tools should make things pretty simple by the looks of it. If i have any doubts i will just go to the nearest boutique..
piece of advice... when changing spring bars do it in a clear 1 gallon bag at least the first few times, it helps protect your eyes and your sanity when that spring bar goes flying and you can't find it.
