How is the quality and variety of the meals? Included in the price?
We paid $694 for each roomette, including taxes and fees. When you consider that the price includes a private cabin for three days and two nights and meals, it’s a pretty reasonable price to travel 2/3 of the way across the U.S.
We booked two roomettes directly across from each other so that we had the views covered on both sides of the train. Technically, each roomette will sleep two, but it would be pretty cramped. It’s absolutely fine for one person.
