I especially like the second shot, it really picks up the detailing in the design.

Nice shots but I do think that these days post processing of digital images is part of the whole process. For example on your first shot on the left there are several hairs. These could easily be removed with something like photoshop this retouching would improve the final image.

You are right! But I am not a photograph aficionado... I only use photos to share my passion: watches!!!

What camera do you use? Have you got a macro lens to get those close ups? Great shots.

The shots of the JLC 818 caliber (first pic) and the IWC were taken with a Canon EOS 450 D. The JLC 818 caliber was with a standard 60 mm lens and a extension 27 mm tube. The IWC was shot with a 50 mm macro lens.

The Tri-Compax and the JLC powermatic were shot with... An Iphone 5 and a LoupeSystem loupe (highly recommend that!).

Just checked the loupeSystem - what a clever bit of kit. There's a retailer here in Perth.

3x or 6x? What kind of mount are you using? Would you mind posting or pm a pic of the system?

I have used Loupe System Model 01 first edition. I believe it is 3x... With no mount! In fact I do not like those iphone cases. Nevertheless, I am thinking on buying the universal clip they have introduced in Basel 2015.

Here you have a pic of the loupe:

The universal clip does look a better option than the case. Thanks for that.
