OK, I admit to have some slight tendencies to be OCD on just a few levels....

When wearing black shoes, only black socks are involved. And a black belt of course. Matching the shoes.
Must be my upbringing...
A tiny scratch on a watch, a dent in the frame (..!..) of my art will put me in a minor mood. For only a few moments btw. And I know there are more things in life that really, really do matter.

Actually don’t think I am the only one on this Forum....

Question: have you ever changed your belt and shoes, because all of a sudden you decided to wear ‘that other’ watch and you want shoes, belt and strap to match (and there is no time to change straps....) at least in color....?

For sure! Planning the triptych the day before is cool - but then again, adapting it last minute is exciting. I do it often, too... you are not alone!

 

It's hard enough to match my shoes & socks - I don't worry about the watch or belt.

 

Dammit, it's CDO - in alphabetic order like is SHOULD BE!!!!!

Of course it should always be shoes & belt & watch strap matching. You should also match the metal on the belt buckle, watch head & buckle, and your other metal accessories like your ring.




Socks, however, can match the color of your pants.

 

I have a cheat ring....

 

I knew OF is the place for me.....

 

This is why all my dailies are on bracelets. I don't worry about matching stainless steel or gold and stainless steel. I wear my grandfather's watch with a black strap once a year, and I don't generally wear my Seiko with a brown strap.

I also don't worry about my great-grandfather's pinky ring clashing with my watch. 104+ years of history overpowers that.

 

Strap,belt,shoes always match. Never mix silver and gold.
