Solve this Mystery - OEM making Omega’s NATO straps?

I’ve looked high and low for multiple nato strap options. Other companies seem to pale in comparison to the nato straps that Omega has. The Omega cost is unjustifiable for a nato.

Does anyone know the OEM who makes the nato straps for Omega?

Or are they only made in house at Omega? (I find this hard to believe as it could easily be outsourced)

I don't know who makes the NATO straps for Omega, but do you really think the manufacturer would sell one to you?

Well, I love the Supreme and Chevron-Natos from Crown & Buckle (https://www.crownandbuckle.com/), they are close to Omega. And much cheaper. And with single layer option (which is for some of the rather high built cases more suitable anyway).

+1, real world example GasGasbones manufactured straps for Bremont watches but he won't sell you the strap on his website.

Good luck. We've been trying to find them ever since the Omega NATOs hit the market, with no luck. Could be that whoever the supplier is, doesn't actually make straps to order - Tudor's fabric straps for instance come from a ribbon supplier, and they don't make straps for anyone else it seems.

FWIW, the closest straps I have found to the Omegas have been the CheapestNatoStraps seatbelt line. They're juuust not quite as soft, but they're also not flimsy like pretty much all other seatbelt offerings from BluShark, Bark & Jack etc

do you really think the manufacturer would sell one to you?

Well, Omega's source for leather and coated nylon straps is Jean Rousseau who will happily make you a custom strap to your specs (which can be just like Omega's if you prefer), so... maybe.

I thought it was Jean Rousseau?

Isn't OP looking for the Omega NATO strap without the "inflated" Omega price?

Oh! He wants something that doesn’t exist. Gotcha. 👍

Or to potentially customize them. Omega won’t sell you a customized strap. Personally, I don’t think I’ll buy an Omega NATO because I don’t want the extra bit you have to tuck in. Easy enough to cut and burn on a cheap replaceable NATO but not a $160 one 😲

Even so, nothing wrong with getting the same strap a bit cheaper for not having “Omega” embossed into the underside and on the clasp IMO

I've tried many, many seatbelt-style NATOs and the closest I've seen to the Omega OEM is from OnceWill. The construction, weave, and length is very similar. I have owned half a dozen Omega OEMs and the OnceWill is as close as it gets, folks. They are available on Amazon for $26.

My PO and AT on OnceWill 20mm NATOs.

The OnceWill does look like they mirror Omega's practice of moving the buckle further from the watch head, so it sits properly opposite the watch on the wrist rather than the buckle being all the way to the side of the wrist. Might give them a shot.

Would also love to know who Swatch Group's OEM is for the Hamilton NATOs as well. They look great but they're too short for my wrist!

Yes, indeed. The buckle wears in the same position under my wrist as the OEM Omegas. And I love the Hamilton NATOs!

I can confirm the material is very close. The hardware, fairly back in second place. Still very good straps and well worth putting on an Omega.

That what i could read here and there and that made me order that brand.
Plus, i line the fact that this is a small company and make them by hand, upon order. Makes it more special to me...

I found the PhenomeNato close in feel, but the material was very flimsy and didn't feel right on a heavier dive watch. The Omega NATOs are nice and soft, but have juuust the right weight / thickness / whatever that they feel robust on the wrist.
