Hi fellow members, Been looking for a decent example of a Genta designed Polerouter for the past 6 months. And more specifically a steel with a black dial. I came across this one (gold one) from a creditable dealer that has my interest. Would value your thoughts on the watch in terms of originality with the visual parts. From my forum browsing and comparisons with other examples, I'm not sure on the crown and crystal. Crystal is marked UG in the centre, but from my research the original tends to have the square cyclops. Crown is typically "rounder" with more teeth, etc. Is that true? I appreciate the input on originality of parts as to know more about the watch and my person preference, like many, is to have it as original as possible. Serial number is 23XXXXX Cheers!
Thanks for the input haha. I know right? I'll let you guys know if I don't take it. Any familiarity with the crystal as I've seen some before without the cyclops. I assume the crown is not a big deal either. I just don't even have a clue which UG model it would be from...
I've not seen Polerouter dates with original crystals that didn't have the square or round cyclops. Could be an early service replacement?
I assume that all Polerouter Date were originally fitted with crystals that had the trapezoidal or the round cyclops but, as i'm not certain, and being the crystal signed, is not a question for me. It's a nice looking watch
I have no particular knowledge of these guys, so this is kind of a side question. Most of these that I've seen have an accent mark above the second E in Geneve. Should someone be concerned if that is missing? Edited: location of accent mark
