·This is one of the famous Elgin Durabalance Automatics, which, along with the 761, were the only fully automatic mechanical watches ever designed and produced in the United States.
The watch runs reasonably, but somewhat slow, and the hands will only set backwards, the crown is loose and will start to unscrew if turned forwards; the hand setting motion is also a little stiff. All in all, it could probably use servicing. The case and dial are largely intact aside from the inevitable accumulation of some dirt over 50ish years. It has an old twist-o-flex band. I'm away from most of my tools at the moment, so movement shots are unavailable.
Personalized Engraving on solid 10k back.
Comes in at 33mm without crown and 39mm lug-to-lug.
Original box is included as well.
Asking $250 with CONUS
