Still surprised; perhaps I've either under (or poorly) photographed this gem or overestimated its value. Either way, I guess it'll go back in the box. Thanks to those who made a valiant effort to raid their kids' college funds to show a bid.
This is why I love this place! It is a watch that I will miss, but 3 more have come in as well as a new boiler and repair work to a 255 year old chimney. My plumber says there will be a cool digital display on said boiler so perhaps I can find some solace staring at that, to say nothing about heat and hot water for the demanding family!
