For sale is a very nice Vintage Doxa Calatrava Dress watch. The watch features a 36mm stainless steel case and signed screwdown case back, 18mm drilled Lugs for easy strap changes. To my eye the case is unpolished but I have no proof to back this up. The case is in fantastic condition for such an old watch. The Dial has a wonderful light yellow\gold patina which suits the gold hands and markers to a tee. I would assume the dial started out white and has faded\changed colour over time. The automatic bumper movement was described as recently serviced when I purchased the watch last year and considering the way it winds and keeps time I have no reason to doubt this. The movement winds as smoothly as my modern watches. I have not had this on a timeographer etc but it keeps perfect time as far as I am concerned. As for the year of manufacture this is where things become slightly tricky as there is not much information online about old Doxas, especially non divers. There is a serial number on the case back which according to some dates the watch to 1949. I have yet to see another example of this watch so cant confirm. Comes with a Bulang and Sons BoR bracelet and a Hodinkee Horween Shell leather strap which is super soft and in almost as new conditin, both look amazing on the watch in my opinion. I'd like £795ono including RMSD anywhere in the UK for this lovely little piece. I bought this as an left field alternative to a Datejust and I've enjoyed it immensely. Thanks
