Hi all,

For sale in excellent condition I have a Vintage 1960's Seiko Seikomatic 'Weekdater' 6218-897

This is a catch-and-release sale for a very reasonable Final Reduction $225 USD firm, including PayPal fees on my end, and express shipping to Australia. EU, Asia and North America add $15 USD for shipping. Included is a nearly-new Bandrbands Horween Chromexcel Leather Strap (colour - brown) that I bought a few months ago. This strap alone was $90 USD.

Note: this watch is also listed on other forums so the watch will be sold to the earliest response. All sales are final (no returns - the cost of shipping is a significant percentage of final price so unfortunately it's not economical for me to accept returns and sell the watch multiple times. Please read this add carefully)

This watch is in great condition for it's age. The only reason I'm selling is because I bought the exact same model in gold plate.

Details:

- Lovely silver (coloured) dial with a subtle sunburst effect. Watch pictured is actual watch being sold.

- As far as I know through research, all parts of the watch are original and untouched. Excellent condition for a watch of it's age. I believe the serial number dates it to roughly 1966, but this is just some light research on my end and opinions from people on vintage seiko forums

- Movement is working very well, keeps time to a few minutes per day currently with my gentle use. The crown action is not as smooth as you'd hope - however still is fine to change the time and date. Could use a service if super smooth action and COSC spec accuracy is desired

- Quick set date function (no quick set weekday)

- No box or papers

- Particularly special is the Weekday complication in English above the 6 o'clock, showing every day of the week. Saturday is in bright blue, and Sunday is in Red (see photos below)

- approx ~37.5mm dial, ~19mm lug width, so a very large size for it's time. You can see that it sits quite dominantly on my 6.6 inch wrist (photos below)

- case has small scratches but overall is in excellent shape. The case back in particular is excellent condition. You'll notice there's a small permanent pen mark on the back of one of the lugs - that came from the previous owner. I haven't gotten around to removing it, however it should be a very easy and non-invasive removal job.

- I have only been seriously into watch collecting in the past 8 months or so, however I've made several (5 or 6) purchases and sales from eBay and forums and vintage dealers with excellent reviews. Happy to provide. (see eBay user 'hrobrobi')
