hi guys, here we have a very nice kontiki 20 i picked up from our very own @dougiedude (a super nice dude indeed!) couple of months ago that needs to make way for another purchase (you all know how it goes). since i got it, i had it freshly serviced (no, for real, i did!) and would be happy, if you wish, to give you my watchmaker's contact info (he just gave her the standard overhaul/cleaning/fresh oil routine). keeps very good time, but not quite COSC good (sorry, this is not an omega or a rolex). in short, a very nice vintage, early 1970s, ref 128TT, cal 12824 kontiki 20 with a killer 'spider' bluegreen dial, 36mm case, 18mm lugs. now sporting a fresh black nato strap that i think looks great on it. will include a very nice mesh stainless band as well! very crisp tiki caseback medallion! negatives? obviously the case has been at some point in the past heavily polished (i can pretty much guarantee you it wasn't me or @dougiedude). If you can overlook that, I can't honestly find anything else bad or wrong about it... Asking USD $350 shipped to CONUS (happy to discuss shipping options for a fellow OFer further out). Oh yeah, some pics now. The mov't/inside caseback pic is @dougiedude's, used here with his permission. I totally forgot to ask my watchmaker when he had her over to snap a few. Very tough to capture the spiderweb dial effect, but I tried. It's finely cracked like aged leather. It actually looks much better in person.
