I've owned this one for several years and always loved wearing it, but time to move it on. Dial: Love it or hate it, I happen to love it. Call it "extreme patina", "artful damage" or whatever. Case: has seen a polish or two but thick and full as the pictures indicate. Some scrapes on midcase near the crown as pictured Hands: original I believe with blued seconds hand Crystal: Do not know if it's original or not. No Omega symbol in center Crown: appears correct Movement: as pictured and please assume it needs servicing as I don't know when this was last done. Buckle: 14mm and I believe it to be genuine. Please note: I am certainly no expert with these and if I have described something incorrectly please feel free to call me on it and I will correct the listing. Just reduced to $1600 ONRO. pp friends or bank transfer Fedex/ParcelPro to lower 48 is on me. Overseas will split shipping with buyer. Thanks for the space OF!
I just received this pm from a forum member. Any thoughts? I will not sell an incorrect watch. cheers tmw57 "First, movement number is 9827661 if I read it well. So it dates the watch to about 1943. Imho, crowns of these years have been unsigned and had a different shape. But I might be wrong here. Second, there are lume dots on the dial but the hands are not lumed. While I understand a watch may have lumed hands and unlumed dial, the configuration of your watch makes less sense to tell the time in the dark. So either the hands are wrong or the dial. Case back tells 2367, so I assume that the dial is wrong."
The crown is a younger replacement but it does not look off. At least the style is acceptable although the number of teeth is far too high. The dial is an original one and this design is well known and documented for ref. 2367 But: the lume dots are not factory original, at least I never saw such a dial with lume coming from the factory, and I have seen many of these dials. IMO somebody has added these lume dots later. I have seen a 2367 which was auctioned in the UK some time ago which also had later applied lume dots where somebody removed the lume afterwards but the shadows of the lume dots still visible on the dial. I hope this helps to clarify regards Erich
