For sale: My Omega Speedmaster Professional 145.022, cal 861 and Tritium dial.

Watch is circa 1988 on a 48,232,xxx serial number .

Dating of the watch was done with the excellent "Moonwatch Only" book, which indicates that the case ref 145.022 ran up to 48,240,xxx.

Please see photos for condition.

This watch was bought by me from Parkers jewellers in the UK in Summer 2012. It has been used as an occasional wearer for when I wanted to wear a Speedy but not endanger any of the more prized parts of my the collection. It has not been abused or worn heavily by me. I am selling as part of a minor rationalisation of my collection.

All functions work as they should. Service history is not known, although it came to me with a 12 month warranty. It was checked by STS 18 months ago and found to be running strongly and not in need of service. It recently had a stiff pusher corrected by a watchmaker known to the forum and no other issues have been identified.

I am a watch collector and forum geek, not a dealer, pseudo-dealer, or flipper. This is a watch I carefully chose for personal use and have grudgingly concluded should be moved on due to recent arrivals.

The price takes account of the fact that you may want to have it serviced.

References are available by request for those who don't know me. Established/contributing members of the forum will be favoured if there are any negotiations.

Not looking for trades, but might be persuaded to do p/x with good examples of Seamaster 2627 (esp. w/black dial!) cal 353 with square date window, or 1930's Marine Standard.

I'm happy to answer all sensible questions, or even silly ones as long as they are polite or humorous 😀

I'm pretty sure I've met this watch in person and it was lovely. Shouldn't hang around...
