Vintage May, 1968 Omega Speedmaster ref: 145.012-67SP Serial: 26.071.XXX Originally Delivered to Switzerland THE WATCH This is an attractive, collectible watch that was recently serviced, with an Extract and vintage box (not original to the watch.) The Cal 321 movement was serviced April, 2020 and is brilliant. The reverse threaded screw was replaced and a new Omega factory crystal was installed. The original cracked crystal is included, if you want it. The pushers were not removed to avoid damage, so this means no new pusher gaskets. With the exception of the reverse threaded screw and crystal, the watch is original, including the bracelet. The bracelet has a link removed and one of the links is creased. It is the 1039 with 516 end links and correct production date. The dial is dark and without scratches or oil. The lume has degraded some by receding from some of the plots, which is consistent with an aged dial. The patina is a nice yellow, which I have attempted to accurately capture in the photos. I have no knowledge of a relume and believe the lume to be original. The case has nicks and scratches, particularly on the lugs near the spring bars. The case appears to be unpolished. The bezel is in very good condition, as evidenced by the photos. There are a few small indentations on the bezel, with one near the DON. The photos are of the actual watch. The watch head, bracelet, extract and vintage box are included. The outer box has “Ladies” embossed on it so if you are a woman reading this, it s a sign that you should buy this watch. THE DEAL Price: $11,750 USD or equivalent. Payment by wire using escrow.com with fees split (approximately $100 each. Any duties paid by buyer. 2 days acceptance period. Price includes shipping within USA and Canada. International shipping and insurance is at buyer’s expense. Located in Portland, OR USA. F2F deals are always welcome. I am not a dealer so we will find a nice safe spot to meet. This is my first sale on the forum. While I have sold watches and my bronze sculptures on ebay with good reviews, they were not as much money as this watch. Because of this, you have 2 days after you receive it to inspect it and approve the release of funds through escrow.com. I paid more than this for the watch without the extract. I believe it is fairly priced and recognize that people think it was overpriced. Figured I'd give it one last chance. And, last but not least, Thanks OF for the space!
Had a request for outdoor daylight photos so am adding these. Taken on an overcast day with my modern speedy for comparison. This still isn't the exact white as the lined paper was a bit whiter in person. The white is perhaps a bit grayer and a touch more blue but close. Hopefully this will demonstrate the true color of the lume and dial that you will see in person. It's pretty beautiful if I do say so myself. (These were 3 mb pics each and they loaded fast. OF designers, just wow! Pretty amazing. Can't say it too often, thanks for what you do.)
Reduced price $11,750 USD, change in terms. No PayPal. Instead, escrow.com with wire and fees spilt. Fees to each are approximately 100 usd. Please see ad body for details. Thanks.
Glad you decided to keep the watch as it is a wonderful example. If I didn't already own a 105.012-66, I definitely would have considered buying as it has everything I look for when buying a vintage timepiece... love the patina too which is a must for me.
Thanks. That's how I felt when I saw it. You know it when you see it, like "that's the one." Then I was too afraid to wear it. So I thought I'd pass it on. Kindof surprised it wasn't picked up. I guess it's like they say, "it was a message from gawd, that we were meant for each other." (Sorry, just watched a Sinatra documentary, although that was more like Belushi.) Appreciate it.
