Hi guys, time to sell another piece to begin reloading the watch funds for the future...you know how it goes. So, here's my blue dial omega seamaster 'pilot' ('flightmaster' case) ref 166.090, cal 1002, cca early 1970s. It's a somewhat rare vintage seamaster reference. At any one time, I could only see 1-2 floating around on the net, ebay and all. Mine looks very good, runs great (within COSC), and has recently been serviced by my watchmaker. Generic, but high quality, shark mesh stainless steel band wears comfortably and complements the watch well. The only negatives I can honestly think of are: a) the case has obviously been polished (in fact, it was apparently originally 40micron gold plated, but that thin sheen has been polished off); b) the lume plots must have been reapplied at some point as they're on the inside of the hour markers (honestly cannot tell if the dial in whole has been refinished-if yes, it's one heck of a dial refinish job!) Asking $800 OBO shipped to CONUS (we can work something out if further out), paid via paypal friends&family or USPS money order. And, now, some pics follow...During pic taking the other day, I put aside the case gasket so as not to drop it-I'm very clumsy. The watch has been recently serviced, needs nothing but a wrist.
Took the pics yesterday at my watchmakers..Put the gasket aside so as not to drop it. There's one there for sure and all were routinely replaced during the service few months ago.
