For sale is a very nice Omega Seamaster reference 2990 with a 268 calibre movement. The 2990 is the same reference as the Ranchero, the only difference between the watches are the naming on the dial and styling of hands.
The dial has developed a gentle patina and is in fantastic original condition. I will let the pictures do the talking, so included a number of high-res images. This is truly a stunning watch on the wrist.

The case measures 36 mm the crown excluded. The hands are original with the original lume. The movement runs well and keeps good time. I timed it over 24 hours and it lost 1-2 seconds. However, I did not have the watch serviced while in my possession and do not know the service history. Therefore a service is recommended if you intend to wear the watch on a regular basis. The watch is currently on a used hand-made crocodile strap.

My asking price is 900$ - net to me. I will ship for free in the continental USA. Anywhere else will be determined by cost and will include insurance.

I am happy to accept a return if the watch is not as described, within 3 business days of receipt. Please let me know if you have any questions. References are available upon request and you can also check out the "Seller Reviews" forum.

Images were taken under diffuse daylight conditions. NO filters were applied.

In a 2990 case one would expect a 267 calibre. Wouldn't you agree?

The 2990 used both the 267 and 268, although the 268 seems to have been used at a lower frequency.
Over the years I have owned around 10 2990s and 2 of these were cal 268.
There are quite a few examples on the web:

Here is a short article woth a mention of this by Bill Sohne: http://chronomaddox.com/omega_ranchero.html
And another mention by TDN-DK: https://omegaforums.net/threads/the-transformed-rancheros.16487/
