These are uncommon and this is a very nice example. Was last serviced about 8 years ago, so may need another servicing in near future.

Case is in excellent shape and is 35mm.

Hands and markers are excellent and sparkle beautifully against the nicely patinated dial.

Dial has lovely and even patination and has an unusual very pale green tone which is reflected in the dial pics. There is a tiny flaw in the shape of a star in the dial lacquer. It can be visualized to the left of the "C" in Chronometre and can be visualized by loupe but not the naked eye. A few dial spots that are tiny but can be seen in the pics

Movement starts up with a shake, but I have not yet timed it. Correction: watch was timed against the time.gov website and appears to have gained about 6-7 seconds in 24 hours.

Please don't hesitate to ask for more pics or info.

Asking $2100 ONRO. No trades please. Fedex/Parcelpro shipping to continental U.S. is on me. Overseas will split shipping with buyer.

    Thanks for the space, OF.

A beauty. Here is a contemporaneous ad (the scan of which I believe originates with @gatorcpa; although the ref. numbers do not appear to be the same, it's the same watch).

This watch is the direct antecedent of the Constellation. I have one and love it!

The scan above was stolen by me from an eBay auction for a 1950 catalog.

It's a mystery to me why this watch is still available. Yes, it is an understated design, as was typical of the era, but these cal. 352 chronometers feature among the best bumper movements ever produced, and this dial variation rarely appears on the market, let alone in this condition.
