Hello all, This is my first sale on OF. I do have some purchases under my belt, including a Longines 285 from the departed @ulackfocus and an Omega C-case Connie from @semdot14. For sale today is a Grand Seiko 5646-7010 in excellent condition. As you can see in the pictures below, the 7010 model houses a 25 jewel, day-day 5746A movement in the famous Taro Tanaka "grammar of design" case. For more information regarding the case, see the link below. http://wornandwound.com/art-time-taro-tanaka-seikos-grammar-design/ I purchased this particular example from Dave Holmes a.k.a thebigwatchguy ~6 months ago. It has not been serviced during my ownership and I do not know the service history but I did have my watchmaker put it on a timegrapher and it is running within seconds a day. The Grand Seiko 5646 is the final GS model Seiko produced before production ceased in ~1976 due to the quartz crisis. These were produced from mid/late 1970 through late 1975/early 1976. Based upon the serial number, this is an earlier model produced ~ Aug 1971. As previously mentioned, it houses a high-beat 5646A automatic movement that beats at 28,800 bph. This is the first GS model that featured largely automated, rather than hand built, construction and is regarded by some as the best combination of reliability, precision, and maintenance of the original GS lineup. As you can see from the photos, this is a very nice example. The silver sunburst dial is blemish free and the case is in exceptional condition. Additionally, the GS medallion on the case back in in very good condition. The watch will come on a Hirsch lizard strap with a Grand Seiko deployant clasp I had shipped from Japan. I hate to sell this GS, but the focus of my collection has shifted to Longines and with several recent acquisitions (as well as an upcoming vacation to Italy) I need to free up some funds. The asking price is $850 net to me. I will accept PayPal F&F or regular PayPal (+3%). The price includes insured shipping. I will not accept a return unless the watch is substantially different than as described. Thank you OF for the space! Please let me know if you have any questions. Andrew
Alright guys, I'll drop the price to $850. I leave for Italy on Saturday, so if it hasn't sold by Friday this is going back into my watch case. Thanks, Andrew
