Should have been wearing a Globemaster -- that tungsten carbide bezel is bulletproof. Hope the owner is ok now because he's gonna be sick when he gets the repair estimate from Rolex.

 

Hope he doesn't send it to Rolex, they'll ruin its value with replacement parts.

 

And they won’t return any parts that they replace.

 

All jokes aside, if I walked away from that one I would be wearing this as-is for the rest of my life.

I did in my early mo-biking years. Got cured of that by a 6 hour trip in July sunshine that I didn't feel at all, until I reached my destination and realised how burnt I was. Last long trip (9 hours) was across central France in July in thick leathers [*] that had to be rapidly unzipped to the edge of indecency every time I stopped.
