what is going on with The 116610LV submariner?
People I speak to all seem to share the same view... where are they? But, I had 2 calls last week both with the same outcome. “We have the submariner and the BLNR in for you to view sir”
Obviously purchased them all! A good investment?? Should we grab all we can as the word is that Rolex are going to be even harder to get hold of next year! What’s the best purchase? (With the exception of the SS Daytona ) answers appreciated

My crystal ball is in the repair shop so not sure.
You don’t need a crystal ball to have an opinion.. you don’t need an opinion to be right 😉

All the stainless steel sports models seem to be good at the moment although I think the ceramic Daytona prices advertised are strong and not sure they are selling for the advertised price, how about explorer 2 often overlooked but I've heard they may be a good long term investment as entry level price is good?

I see a certain website retailer advertising a 2 month old Daytona for £16.950 !!! I know they will take a knock of £300-£500 but even so....

Investment? My crystal ball says probably Bad.... unless you buy used and plan to keep for a decade or longer.

Where is the word coming from that new Rolex models are going to be difficult to acquire next year?

I read on the internet that delivery will slow down on most pieces next year, the green sub prices have gone up £1500 pre owned in the last 4-5 months. WF are asking £9250!!!!😲

I was about to start writing a new post about the supply of the most popular sport Rolex models (not just Hulk). My personal opinion is that Rolex is about to increase prices and for that reason supply is scarce.

These days is close to impossible to get your hands on a steel Sub or GMT. Spent last couple of weeks in NY and London researching the market and the answer was always the same, "we are sold out sir!". Steel Daytona with ceramic bezel, just forget about it, most ADs won't even add you in the waiting list. (NY is slightly better, I was offered a black-dial GMT and a date Sub but as I found out they were sold within the week)

So if you are thinking of getting a new piece after Jan/Feb you should budget an additional 10-15% on the current MSRPs.

Come on out to Michigan. My local AD has the Sub in both Date and no-date versions, as well as some PM variants, just sitting in the display window, waiting to be sold (as of last week). However, I haven't seen the Hulk version, but I'm not looking for one ...

some time ago when I let my sub and speedy reduced go to get the gmt master 2, I thought $5k will likely replace that no date sub. but now jeez! $5k doesnt come close 👎🙁

I hear you! I can't really see any reason for anyone to pay more than $5-6K for a ND 14060/14060M. Obviously it's hard to find any at this price range right now but I believe (and hope) that market will adjust again after the holidays.

Rumor is Hulk ending production is Flynn not around driving sales. The Kermit is the better more rare watch and hence will hold value better.

Lots of Frankenstein’s on eBay for both esp the Kermit.

Hard to buy a “Kermit” without papers since the parts to convert them can be sourced.

The ceramic Daytona is absolutely through the roof, it seems they’re going for around $17kusd here in the grey market?

The ceramic 116610lv seems plentiful, who knows what it will turn into? I’d say it’s a long term hold as of now.

The number of Kermit’s without maxi dials on eBay is amazing.
