is it really that much of an upsell and finishing touch that peeps would not buy an all satin or brushed watch.

so effn stupid sides are polished and top brushed or vice a versa..not to mention polished centers in bracelets or any facsimile there of.

i know quite a few peeps like bling or maybe a lil of it.............but plz....

there was a time not so long ago that i would have loved that watch.

but my fricker esque days are over......i just can't swing the size, and i'm not the biggest arabic buff either.

i was looking at this as it's come down in price.. but i still have to deal with the polished stuff...but the main neg for me is that i really think it wears huge for it's size and sits high up...not to mention the piggyback chrono

Omega Railmaster - all brushed

Omega ST1 - all brushed

Sinn 85x - Tegimented i.e. matt

Globemaster - mix of brushed and satin but there is a thin polished band around the case and on the outer most chamfered edge of the bracelet to break up the monotony.

High polished watches seem a little more lively no? I've never thought that it was blingy-- unless its yellow gold with diamonds.

What bugs me is some brands have to tell you what they did to it with script on the caseback...."PVD Flame Fusion Ion Bonded Carbon Matrix Coating" or some crap.....🤮

They should simply write: "made with love..."

Or even worse when they tell you completely useless information on the front:

The "gas escape valve/ring lock system" text is so beyond ridiculous to me.

My god, yes - this is one of Rolex' worst fails (not involving gemstones that is). Much more gas is likely to escape from the wearer's behind than will ever come out of this watch...

Rolex has to put all of the writing on there to justify the price and ridiculous proportions of the watch. Because so many Rolex buyers are deepsea SCUBA enthusiasts.

Now, as to the original post: I am more offended by being called a "peep" than by polishing. I actually like a bit of contrast between the brushed and polished sections on my bracelet and on the case. Given a choice, yes, I'd rather have it all brushed rather than all polished, but I'm fine with how they do it now.

The matt black and PVD stuff is cool, but when it wears through it looks like crap.

Another view of the Globemaster. Almost all brushed. Much easier to remove surface scratches than high polish. Scratch proof tungsten carbide bezel. And it’s a damn good looking watch.

i really wonder if the wear is more proponent of the materials and how it how much was put on. i don't think all pvd and like finishes is created equally.

i can appreciate the g master, but it just doesn't do it for me. it looks like it wears big as well
