Today I was at an amazing place that had boutiques from almost every major brand. I was at stores for Omega, Seiko, Rolex, JLC, Bulgari, Paneri (sp), Vacheron, Lange, GO, Bruget, IWC, Blancpain andbly had more. I found so many watches that I loved but to be honest I felt the German and the Japanese watches as a whole were much better quality than the Swiss. I probably had a combined total of over 1 million dollars in watches on my wrist today . I did not buy a thing but I am going to order a GS based on one I found. All the other watches I liked were north of 10k so I passed. I tried on the new non LE railmaster and really liked them but felt the price was to high. Please forgive misspellings.
I knew I was going to get shit for that. It was pouring rain all day and I left all my stuff in the car for the most of it.
These three were on my purchase radar so I circled around to my car an took these to show my wife. Otherwise my cellphone missed most of the action
I might just do it because there is a GO I really like. It is a little out of my $ range but I can't get it off my mind. I liked a VC also but the price was north of 70K. I choked a little and quickly put the thought out of my head. It is an overseas no date in 18k white gold and a grey dial. sweet.
Of the three pics, I'm liking the Omega most on your wrist but they all look great! interested in seeing the GO you've got your heart swooning over.
I loved the GO Senator Excellence no date. Both the Roman and the Arabic numeral ones. I like simple 3 hand watches with no complications.
Not to be too pedantic, but I think the Railmaster you tried on is the non-LE one. Did you see any of the 60th Anniversary '57 releases on your shopping day? How much are they asking for the RM you saw? It's not on their website yet...
Yeah RM was non LE one for 7.5k. They said LE versions had not arrived. They also said they were still waiting on speedy Tuesdays and the had delivery's for today
So, the regular RM costs more than the LE?! Now, the LE feels like a bargain. I'm not in love with the one you tried on - you either, I gathered? It sort of looks like a redial.
I was surprised at the price. I asked him twice because I thought he might have confused the LE and the regular release. My gut still tells me it has to be cheaper. I liked the grey dial RM over the black dial but will take a pass on both. So many other watches caught my attention that these are best left for others to enjoy.
