I am looking to purchase a new watch for my collection (new to me but used). I am interested in purchasing a dressier watch some brands that I am interested in are Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Glasutte I'm pretty openminded about the brands, any brand would do . My budget is around 8,000 I can go up to 10,000 or down. What watches would y'all on the forum recommend?

Glashutte Original PanoMaticLunar, Trev had one, Steve I think Still does have one, epic, stunning, brilliant, superb watch.

I would not presume to tell you to buy this watch or that. As Ash stated I do have a Glashutte Original that I am very happy with and Trev formerly owned one. Trev sold his to finance an adventure Shark Riding on the Great Barrier Reef. The PML comes in a few different metals and dial colors. There are also some minor size variations in model years as well as tweaks to the dial appearance.

I love mine. I think it quite attractive and the finishing is top notch inside and out. I often receive complements while wearing it. I have no other watch that winds as smoothly. It is a good size at about 39mm. Options include metal bracelet or Alligator strap with deployant.

Here is mine followed by Trev's former watch and some others.

GO in particular have a habit of punching far above their weight for the money.

You could also try Nomos - a brand coming into its own right for prices that are stunning.

Haha it's funny that you say the glashutte original panomaticlunar because my father actually has that watch and that's the watch he wears on a regular basis. There's no doubt that this particular watch is stunning but maybe a different one so we don't end up matching on a regular basis also I think I might be getting that one as a gift quite soon

The Nomos is most excellent but they don't have Boston on the list. I can't deal with that. ::facepalm2::

Here's another option… the SS version of the IWC Portugieser Hand-Wound Eight Days Edition "75th Anniversary" concurs with the upper end of your budget.. :D
