...but would I like it in the future? http://www.ablogtowatch.com/patek-philippe-calatrava-6006g-watch/
Meh. This looks like the kind of dial the Wandolec Art Studio cranks out. Here, you can have onePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network that says Omega on the dial:
I was considering buying the predecessor 6000g. I like the Caliber 240 with the micro rotor, and the white gold is more subdued. However, the watch wire small because the date ring on the outer edge made the hour and minute hands shorter. The new larger version should improve this. A sporty looking Calatrava.
It looks already dated to me, but I rarely like the more “sporty” dials Patek makes. I even find it quite strange that they call this a Calatrava at all.
I liked (and wore) bell-bottom pants at one, distant stage of my life. Does that answer your question?
Personally not feeling Patek trying a modern look, this feels a bit clumsy in a way only Patek could do.
I would wear a watch like that for fun at under 1000 dollars, but at 30,000 my watch better look elegant.
Reminds me of JLC Polaris...funny as there is just a recent thread about that one. What is the white marking on the upper left lug? is that part of the design? it looks like it borek and someone glued it back.
You won't. At least not after the third person gives you that second glance that asks "I wonder if he knows its a fake?"
If I was going to spend the money they'll ask for that thing, I'd want it to be a bit more "timeless" so it doesn't look like last years trend in ... say... about a year. If I want cheap ass fashion watch looks I'd buy a Diesel or a Hugo Boss for $100 and then toss it when I came to my senses.
I love many pateks, but thumbs down on thst model. I have to agree that I don't think that it will age well.
l fully concur with Billving and others. It won't age well. After few seconds looking at it my eyes were already tired. I am sure you can find a much nicer PP for that price.
