I’m pleased to say that I have managed to resist buying any cheap watches so far as is my 2021 resolution. I watched two ordinary 1970s pieces go by on the bay for a song, but held off. I don’t need any indistinct watches that will cost me 5 times the price for a basic service only to never get wrist time. How about you?
2021 goals? I got out of bed before midday. Does that count? Oh yes, I changed straps on a watch at first attempt with no swearing. For me that's an accomplishment.
My goals is to find the box of New Year gifts I bought for my wife and son a few weeks ago. Totally missing in action; I somehow lost them in the Christmas prep.
I scrubbed the toilets- a great start to the year I think! And at @Engee - that’s what the bargain thread is for- therapy for those of us trying to quit to street drugs.
My 2021 goal is to get a 105.012 '65 or '66 with a decent dial that hasn't been bastardised, relumed or ruined for a reasonable price.
a dry January? no way! this goes against what doctors recommend as keeping hydrated is more important during cold weather - and because of this important need to maintain our bodies hydrated keep in mind that whiskey is ~40-45% water, red wine is ~85% water, while beer with its 90-95% water content helps us to make up the water deficit found in the former two
I always get up early, my bladder makes sure of that. Then after watching Rawhide on the oldies channel I hit the sack till 1 PM then get up to watch Gunsmoke. Ain't growing old grand.
I am still going strong in practicing the art of patience, one of my last purchases of 2020 has been delayed and will take another week to arrive, instead of feeling frustrated, I am putting that energy into learning more about my 2021 watch goals (definitely can't sneak any new watches into the house for at least 6 months) or at least any sub price purchases
