So, a quartz to cure a spending urge, or an oldie such as this?

Not that. Looks like a redial.

What's stunning is the starting bid.

You're asking if I'd buy a redial or quartz? How about neither? :p :taunt:

The listing confirms it to be a redial. And I imagine that in most ambient light conditions it won't be quite so black.

And the fact that there isn't a starting bid is telling.

Suggestion...quartz... the movement is quite interesting (to me) with a strikingly conservative analog layout and vintage vibe...and its a chronograph! I love these 7a28 movements.

If it is simply an urge to spend then perhaps you should buy neither. Think of other things that you have some interest in and wait till you find a watch that captures your interest well enough that there's not conflict over whether you should buy it as opposed to something else.

Thanks. I'm actually a 7T34 fan so I've got 'em but pushing all the autos to one side usually proves hard.

More than you might understand at this point in your watch collecting career. Trust me when I tell you, as soon as you buy a frivolous and only partially desired watch, something you REALLY wanted will pop up and you won't have the cash to jump on it.
