    I had a snoopy ordered, confirmed and paid in full in October last year. I phoned the AD last week who got in touch with Geneva and yes I was allocated one but no time frame due to problems with the caseback.
    I get a call today to say Omega have over allocated the UK by 24 watches and I am no longer getting one. We are sending you a wallet and first option on a CK2998.
    I am absolutely gutted.

    That shouldn't be allowed to happen. A wallet...I bet that eases the pain!

    This totally sucks and leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I'm sorry for you.

    Oh golly, what a sad story for a first posting. That's really brutal. Maybe giving you your first "like" will make things better? :D

    They should have given you way more than a wallet. Customers have been lost over less than that--in my opinion, you should have received a gift card for several hundred. If nothing else, they've been making interest on YOUR money for the last 6 months.

    I just checked, and apparently those wallets retail for something like $300... that's insane. I'd say sell it and get a nice strap. Of all the nice things I could buy from Omega, a wallet would be dead last on my list.

    This sucks, but good can come it. Buy a badass vintage Speedy and never set foot in an AD again.

    Personally, I would be done with modern Omega if this happened to me.

    A letter to the new CEO is in order...you may be surprised of the outcome.

    First question: are you from Rhode Island or do you cart around / set up amplifiers and guitars for a living?

    Second question: what does this CK2998 look like and are you interested in it?

    So do you even like the look of the CK2998 compared to the Snoopy? Seems like Omega is making a pretty big assumption there.

    i have emailed the CEO of both Omega and Swatch. i dont like the CK2998 at all.
    the AD has been brilliant offered full refund straight away. Trying to find out how many watches allocated in UK.
    i live in the UK.
    gutted still and feel very let down

    I know what is fair, they track down and buy one of the many Snoopys that is being sold at a premium on the secondary market--that way, you get your watch, and they can see what their PAMesque, limited production, special edition, bullshit does to the market, and how it impacts true followers of the brand like yourself.

    Talk about a burr under the saddle...

    If you don't like the CK2998, see if they will give you what you do like at cost. That seems fair.

    PS, what JimInOz said is true, at the end of the day, these are first world problems. But I get this is a watch forum.

    i get where you are coming from but i broke my neck 25 years ago whilst in the army and now am paralysed from the neck down, this was my anniversary present.

    That's really unfortunate. At least they are trying to make it up to you. Try to negotiate for a significant discount on another you like.
    Personally I think the old Snoopy Speedmaster is a lot more attractive. He's smiling and in an astronaut suit. The glowing dog lying down I don't get at all. It looks dead. From a distance I'm sure it looks like a weird glowing blob.
    I don't get the appeal, and people paying the huge premium? Crazy.
    As an aside, I thought one day that the designer was a non moon landing believer and that's the hidden message. It was all a hoax and the real snoopy award is right there, him dreaming the whole thing up, right there on the dial for everyone to see.
    Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go get ready for the impending CIA visit.

    My boss had one as well paid in full and ordered mid year last year. Told a couple days ago that they cannot supply it. He was pretty pissed as he constantly buys omegas and probably has every watch they have made in the last 10 years.

    He was not happy at all.... At leasy tou get a wallet, he doesnt get shit but his money back! I see assholes selling these for over 13k online now. He paid 8k full up front cash mid year.
