I have the newer solid face smp. I think the wavy face takes away the classy look of the older smp. What do you prefer? Just curious.

The wave pattern on my 2254 is less evident than on the 2531.80 or the newer SMP's and that is another reason why I like it. But the new solid SMP dials are beautiful and I would rather have that than waves.

I love the wave dial on my 2264.50 and I wish omega kept it on new models.

I love the waves on my 2220.80 but think that the new SMPs without the waves look great also.

I think the waveless, newer dials are very nice. That said, the waves for the SMP300 "Bond" are, IMO, iconic to the model. As such, their absence detracts from the newer model's beauty. Same could be said for the bracelet, which Omega was smart enough to retain for the newer version.

I like them both, the gloss dial matches the ceramic bezel so it fits with that, wave does look good with the aluminium bezel

the solid face look more dressy than the wave face.

However, if you always on a t-shirt and jeans, you should get the wave face.

Nevertheless, both faces are good enough for dress up or dress down :)

    Here's a bit of both..

I know that my 2254 would not be a 2254 without that wave...

On another note, I have to give it to Omega for going with the "Wave Dial," Perhaps I'm wrong, but it sure seems unique, something completely outside of the square and quite a risk when first thought of.

Wave on the black 1120, I don't really like the wave in my blue 1120 unless the light hits it just right

Another wave Bond lover here! The new dials are very nice, but IMHO they are no longer Bond watches (unless Q gives one to James on a future movie! :D ) Here is mine (crappy I5 picture) photo 5a.jpg :

I have the ceramic SMP as my daily driver. I personally feel the waves break up the dial too much. But that's just me!

Very nice! I just ordered an used 2264.50 with that same bracelet. If you happen to have another Omega with the James Bond Bracelet, how do they compare in terms of comfort?

I like both but prefer the black solid face to compliment the new ceramic bezel.

have never liked the waves. they somehow seem kitschy, like a mazda miata. really cool when they first came out, but definitely have not withstood the test of time, in my opinion.
