Looking to get the caseback of my speedmaster moon watch engraved and wondering if anyone knows a good starting point in terms of a caseback that can be engraved. I've been informed that the latest version of the moonwatch 311.30.42.30.01.005 which I have is not a good starting point due to the existing engraving that comes standard.
Is there a model that has a caseback that will fit that existed sometime in the last 30 or so years that could be used as a starting point to then polish and engrave? Would obviously keep the original caseback in safe storage and original condition.
