I visited this incredible museum near Dulles Airport last week. Thought folks would enjoy seeing a Moonwatch...issued to Mike Collins, if memory services. Also, a few other pictures from the Space Age... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Awesome photos! And such an awesome museum! Me and my trusty Speedy 9300 visited that very same spot last year Just a bit of a shame that the annex is so far outside of DC, right? I bet there are lots of people who visit DC and see the Air and Space campus in town, but never make it out to the annex.
Nice! We have one at our Houston Museum of Natural Science also. It's in a display put up by NASA in the HMNS. There's an old thread about it in which I was able to get detailed pics. If in Houston, the HMNS is a must see. Congrats on your find in DC, I like the pic of your watch and the vintage together.
I bought my daughter a NASA Space Shuttle astronaut jumpsuit at the gift shop. Here she is, wearing it, along with my dad's Speedmaster Professional. I was about her age when he bought it in an AD in Manhattan. He explained its significance to me then, a moment which sparked my life long love of watches. It remains my most cherished watch... My daughter, wearing her grandfather's Moonwatch, over her space suit...now that would make a great Halloween costume! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
