Small ( 29mm) Zenith

A couple of years ago I bought an Omega and this was also offered at a pretty small price so I bought it and ashamed to say put it to one side and forgot all about it. I got it out of the box gave it a wind and over the last few days it has kept very good time.

Is it a franken? can't find anything online like it, and my books are all Omega.

Probably a ladies watch at 29mm

If I have looked at the correct table it is from 1938

The number under the balance is 10 1/2 - 2 and there may be more I cannot see

So the calibre is known, there is a case number, if that means anything, and a serial number.

Any help would be much appreciated.

It’s a cal 10 1/2 which is the equivalent of the 106 I think. Very nice piece. Early 30s and in excellent condition. Small by standards today but not a ladies watch. Here’s my 106

My 29 - 30 mm watches circa 1940. With the right straps I wear them a lot, especially the Sky-Rocket revived by Canuck.

unfortunately only us die hard Zenith collectors will have interest in these. Makes no sense when you see the prices other brands command.

Thanks to all who helped, its good to know I have a proper watch and there are others of similar design. I must admit it is not my favourite looking watch, but I will wear it from time to time, give it the respect it deserves and I am sure it will take on a new light.

”Dibs” is a polite way to ask to be first, or next, in line to have the opportunity to buy it from you should you ever wish to sell it at some point down the road.
