I have a 165014 with movement No.23.7M which dates it to around 1966 according to the usual records. I am pretty familiar with the 165024 history but can someone please confirm the dates of the 165014 production and whether a movement this late could be correct? I have attached a picture of the watch to appease those that always like a picture :)

    Thanks in advance

I think that movement number is late for a 165014. Last reference year was 165014-64 and I have movements numbers at 225, 226xxxxx. Without an extract, I’d be concerned.

I think you are probably correct which is why I raised it but I was sure I had come across some 165014's that were later than 64 previously

    Sometimes you learn something new.
In this case, I think I once knew about the 165014......and forgot it.::facepalm2::

IMHO I believe, much like the Ed White 105.003s, the 165.014s being the last straight lug SM300 reference, were produced until late 67 to 68.

I forgot to update this thread but the Extract of Archives came back a while ago and confirmed that the watch was delivered to Israel on August 24th 1966
