I picked up this 1967 Seamaster 300 165.024 a couple of weeks ago from an estate and unfortunately the previous owner had the watch “restored”.
He had replaced the crystal, band and cleaned up the dial. I was able to locate the original 1039 band and repaired the broken link. But I am at a loss as to what todo with the dial, leave it alone or find someone to re-apply correct numbers.
As a collector I would like to have this watch as original as possible but is this watch worth the expense of restoring the dial?

The dial has been re-done. Not the best quality work.
You would probably have to find an original one.

Yes, you need another dial. I would even consider a brand new service dial
over this one😀

Unfortunately that dial has been terminally spoiled - it is going to be expensive and difficult to find another.

the crown also seems replaced with a modern Omega Naiad.
