Huge thanks to @kyle L for my second UG. Always loved the design of Genta's Polerouter, but I enjoy a slightly larger wristwatch. So when I saw this super come up (measures 35.4x43.1 by my calipers), I had to jump on it. It's my second UG after the caliber 1200 gold dress watch I posted last year.

From what I can tell it's a caliber 69 with serial number 2432083 which I think puts it in 1965 production. There's another number on the back - maybe you ladies and gents can help me - 889112/01

I have a cordovan nomos strap coming in for it - but for now I have it on the vintage style strap that I had on my speedmaster. Interesting the lugs are 20mm, I was expecting 18!

They start breeding in your watch box. Be warned!

    Thanks guys!

Trying to figure out if this one can go backwards over midnight to semi quick set the date.

Also found out that second number is a model number of sorts (the one with the slash in it).

Yes that is the case reference number. It is not a model number in the same way as other watch brands, although that is especially true with earlier models, I'm not very familiar with these later UGs. Perhaps by this time the case ref also started getting more standardized with the dial and hands? Others will have to comment. With earlier models though, it literally was JUST the case, and a wide number of different dial/hand combos could be used with any case, although still with some conventions...

Great example of a Polerouter Super. Seems to be in fantastic condition. I really like the toolwatch character.

    Enjoy!

    Gorgeous watch!

I like the Polerounters and intend to add one to the watch menagerie at some point. I should have anticipated that Polerouters come in various case sizes but I didn't.

Thanks man! I think the "supers" with the straight lugs are a little larger than their older twisted lug brothers.
