can you give comments on this slim Connie, cal 712 I try to look through all the topic related to Connie in the forum, but I haven't seen any slim case and this dial, is it authentic or not? And if everything is fine, how much are you willing to pay for it? Thanks
thank aga79 I check the series 163.0001 in ODB, but it seems to not fit with this watch, with this series, ODB showed an 18K case, I know not all variations are presented in the database, but I still worry and need the confirmation from experts.
I know Dennis has one of these 712s with a really nice blue dial, he might have some knowledge on them @ulackfocus
I think it looks OK. Most of the 712 powered Constellations were distinctly different from the more traditional Constellations produced concurrently with the 5xx movements.
Looks fine to me. The fonts are very different from the 55x/56x/75x Constellations of the same era, and that one appears to be correct. I'd say it's about an $850 watch, give or take a hundred. The edges are crisp which helps, but the silver dial is the most common and least sought after. Still, that's a nice specimen and I'd be proud to include it in a collection of Constellations or ultra-thins.
Look at the zapon/ purple snot on caseback. It is NOS ! or almost NOS. The condition couldn't get better than that. Get it.
There was a thrift shop find on here the other day... http://omegaforums.net/threads/newb-omega-constellation-real-or-fake-value.18904/#post-204712 May not be exactly the same, but very close. Based on Desmond's write-up this one looks to be a Ref. 167.0021. Same cal 712 movement, though. gatorcpa
Yep, the 163.0001 is as you have shown above. I wrote these up some time ago here, and your example is included. Cheers Desmond
@ mondodec: thanks, I also read your document before posting here, so far it is the only document that mentions about the watch. Thanks all for very helpful comments I hope to receive it next week, Actually I intended to find a Pie Pan as my first Connie, however this watch is also fantastic.
I like that, I am getting really in to my Connies at the moment, the Pie Pan is fast becoming a real favourite of mine
