I am wanting to buy a titanium planet ocean but I am confused over what size I want, so I am looking for opinions and “nice” comments.
I have had the 45.5 orange one but I am considering the 43.5 or the 39.5. I am thinking 39.5 is too small but some watches wear differently. Do you have any thoughts?

It's totally subjective. The best course may be to try each one on at an AD and see how you feel about each one.

39.5 feels small for the bulkiness that the watch has, 43.3 a bit large for my taste.
42 was the perfect size for the PO. still don't understand why the decide to discontinue that size.
i wouldn't purchase one without trying them both on

43,5 on a 17,5 wrist. works :) I like the proportions better and really fancy the hour quick set and greater power reserve which you don't have with the 39,5 version due to the different movement.

As many people have said in the past, the 43.5 is a nice size, with the only consistent complaint being the thickness of the case. As has been also said, the bracelet link design does a pretty good job of having the watch 'settle' into the wrist, thereby reducing its height.

Anyone have insight about the 39.5mm? Does it have similar height issues?

I have a 39.5 as a daily watch on my 6.5 wrist. It fits really nice, height is approximately 0.6 mm more vs the 2018 300m diver. Overall a great all around watch, I love it.

I owned the 45.5mm for a couple of years and it was a big heavy watch, got the new 8900 in 43.5mm and it's perfect, much more wearable and confortable, go for it and you won't be disappointed

Thanks for all your comments so far. At the moment it’s looking like a 43.5, but keep them coming please.

No I haven’t yet, just started the hunt and my nearest boutique is miles away. Will go on my motorcycle this week. Didn’t even know it was a current watch.

If you had the 45.5, you can definitely wear the 43.5 version. However, the 39.5 is also lovely. I have around 6.7" wrists, and have no issues with the 43.5 version or the 43.5 GMT.

I bought the new 43.5mm ss version when they first came out a couple of years ago, but it began to feel a little hefty each time I wore it. That said I still loved the watch and bought the Ti version which has both the right size\weight ratio that I can live with.

Depends - some of those are thick watches and are a bit "luggy", thus making them seem bigger. I'd look at the 43.5 and see how the lugs fall on your wrist. Let us know where you land.
