Hi,

I recently came across a Sinn103 reverse panda dial using a hand winding Valjoux 7760 movement.

I am not sure if this example had newer parts placed into it. just want to seek the view of the forum.

Hands look new to me. Color and Gestalt are different from the lume plots.

I wonder if some differences in the aging between hands and dial is acceptable? We see this in vintage Rolex too and it is also acceptable. Just thinking out loud for discussion.

I'm curious about the S on the caseback. The other vintage 103 7760 examples I've seen have an 'S' that matches the font from the Sinn logo. Also, I'm used to seeing minute and hour subdial hands that are shaped like little arrows; the subdial hands on this example don't appear to have that shape. But don't take my word on this - I'm a newbie Sinn fan, not an expert.

Good point about the subdial hands.
The chronograph sub-dials should typically be arrow head hands for the newer 103s.
Based on research, the older 103 uses these stick subdial hands.

Finally got a reply from vintage_sinn_collector from IG. He said that this example is all correct.

Sorry that none of us were helpful over here! 👍

Have you found any other good references for learning more about older Sinn models? Looks like I've got to educate myself further.
